Where is Whalesborough?
Whalesborough offers holiday homeowners with the very best of both worlds. Nestled amongst 450 acres of Cornish countryside, you are only a short drive to the North Cornwall coast. The closest town is Bude (around a five minute drive) which has plenty of places to shop, eat and also offers you a couple of great beaches too. If you’re in search of sand, there’s also Widemouth Bay a couple of minutes in the opposite direction, which has not one but two beaches.
What facilities are there onsite?
Whalesborough offers a wide range of facilities to our owners and their guests. These include:
- The W Club Spa – complete with indoor swimming pool and state-of-the-art gym. You can also book yourself in for a spa treatment or spa day; particularly good when the weather isn’t as kind.
- The Weir Restaurant – serving the very best local produce, some of which is grown on our own farm.
- Walking and cycling trails – there are extensive trails for walking and cycling surrounded by countryside, the canal or the coast.
- Children’s play areas – with so much space to explore, there are plenty of children’s play areas to make the most of. This includes an indoor area for toddlers.
- Farm animals – Whalesborough is home to plenty of animals and our donkeys, alpacas and lambs are some of our guests favourites. You or your guests can join us for animal feeding each week.
- Other areas include the outdoor swimming pool (open in summer) and other areas such as places to practice yoga surrounded by nature.
Is the site dog friendly?
All of our accommodation options on site are dog friendly and it doesn’t just end with the accommodation. Whalesborough is the perfect place to explore with your dog – you can enoy a walk down the canal to Bude or Widemouth bay, where they’ll love feeling the sand under their paws.
Is the site sustainable?
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Whalesborough and we’re currently investing more in this area. We have a large solar array which helps to power some of the site, whilst we also take a keen eye on the detail; we use special filters in our washing machines to ensure particles don’t end up in the sea and are currently installing lots of different initiatives such as bug hotels.
What options are there for ownership?
We have three potential ownership options;
- Holiday cottages
- Luxury villas
- Bespoke lodges

What entertainment is on offer for holiday home owners?
We have a dedicated support Team who are always busy organising a whole host of activities and events. We have regular events exclusive for owners too, including: Our Grill and Chill events at the Weir Bistro. We have fishing on site at Whalesborough Lake plus our amazing indoor and outdoor heated pools. We have a fully equipped and modern gymnasium and a 5 star GAIA spa. Also don’t forget our start attraction – Whalesborough Farm where you can meet and feed the animals.
We also have a variety of exciting off site activities such as surfing, paddleboarding and trips to the Beach.
Does holiday home ownership come with any perks?
Of course! Our holiday home and lodge owners receive a whole raft of perks including:
- discount in all of our bars and restaurants
- 20% discount off treatments and products in the spa
- 10% water sports hire discount through any of our 3rd party partners.
- Discount to local restaurants and attractions
- Complimentary entrance to our famous meet the animals days
- Designated owners events
- A designated sub let service if you wish to rent your holiday home to holidaymakers.
Will my holiday home have wifi?
All of our holiday homes come with free super-fast Wi-Fi which is accessible across the park and including the gym, spa and the Weir restaurant.
How long is the season?
Whalesborough Resort and Spa is open to holidaymakers and owners for 12 months of they year. You can enjoy your holiday home at anytime. The holiday home cannot be used as your main residence.
Can I sublet my holiday home?
Yes, fully managed letting packages are available through our designated sub-let service.. This unique service analyses booking trends and market conditions to maximise your holiday home occupancy, with all bookings, payments, guest correspondence, key handling, check in/check out services included.
Can I live in my holiday home?
No, Whalesborough Resort and Spa is designed to be enjoyed as your perfect retreat, not as a permanent residence.
Are finance options available?
Yes, we can offer finance packages available through our 3rd party specialist lenders.
Our holiday homes are (Villas and Cottages) are fully mortgageable (subject to status). We have a selection of pre-packed mortgage products available to help finance your holiday home.
